Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. The role supports preparation, packaging, distribution of medications and maintains inventory and records. It is a full-time night shift opportunity within the Johns Hopkins Bayview campus.

Requirements include a high school diploma, Maryland State Board registration as a Pharmacy Technician, and PTCB certification; six months of hospital experience and a training program are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of hospital experience preferred.
• Pharmacy technician training program preferred.
• Knowledge of pharmacy routines, procedures, materials, terminology, and medication names.
• Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
• PTCB certification required.

Responsibilities

• The Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for preparing and packaging medications, distributing and delivering medications, supporting inventory maintenance, and keeping records and documentation.
