Job summary

Johns Hopkins Care at Home is seeking an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to support medication preparation, packaging and distribution under pharmacist supervision. The role emphasizes accurate dispensing, inventory control, and collaboration with a diverse care team.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or Equivalency, MD Board of Pharmacy registration upon hire, and certification within 2 years (PTCB or NHA); 6 months of experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency is required upon hire.
• Registration with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy is required upon hire.
• Certification through PTCB or NHA must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
• Six months of experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in medication preparation, packaging, distribution and inventory management under supervision of pharmacists and technicians.
• Support the smooth operation of the outpatient pharmacy and collaborate with the care team to ensure accurate dispensing and patient safety.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalency

Maryland Board of Pharmacy registration

PTCB or NHA certification within 2 years of hire

6 months experience preferred

Working under the direct supervision of pharmacists and alongside other skilled technicians, you'll be responsible for a diverse range of tasks aimed at supporting medication preparation, packaging, distribution, and inventory management.

Minimum Qualifications:

Shift and Schedule:

• Rotating 8-hour shifts between 7:30am-8pm
