Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I for an Evanston Hospital location on a per diem basis. You will assist pharmacists with medication preparation, filling and dispensing, while maintaining patient records and packaging doses. Inventory management is also part of the role.

Eligibility includes a current Illinois license and a High School diploma; CPhT is preferred and candidates must pass a board exam within two years. Prior hospital or retail experience is favored.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; must become certified by passing the PTCB or board-approved exam within 2 years of initial licensure.
• Prior technician or hospital experience preferred; retail experience preferred for retail positions.

• Maintain inventory of drug supplies.

Hourly Pay Range: $20.29 - $31.45 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

Position: Pharmacy Technician I, Retail Location: Evanston Hospital Per Diem - As needed Hours: Monday-Friday, rotating shifts; weekend and rotating holidays

What you will need:

• License: Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician required
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; must become certified by successfully passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination or another Board-approved pharmacy technician examination, within 2 years of initial licensure.
• Experience: Prior technician experience or hospital experience preferred. Retail experience preferred for retail positions.
