Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I for inpatient, per diem coverage with rotating shifts.

You will assist the pharmacist with preparing, filling and dispensing medications, maintain patient records and labels, and monitor inventory of drug supplies while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; must become certified by passing the PTCB exam or other board-approved exam within 2 years of initial licensure.
• Prior technician or hospital experience preferred.
• Retail experience preferred for retail positions

Hourly Pay Range: $20.29 - $31.45 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

Position: Pharmacy Technician I, Inpatient Location: Evanston Hospital Per Diem - As needed Hours: Rotating shifts. Monday-Friday, weekends and rotating holidays

What you will do:

• Assist the Pharmacist with preparing, filling and dispensing medications
• Maintain patient records, set up, package and label medication doses
• Maintain inventory of drug supplies

What you will need:

• License: Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician required
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; must become certified by successfully passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination or another Board-approved pharmacy technician examination, within 2 years of initial licensure.
• Experience: Prior technician experience or hospital experience preferred.
• Retail experience preferred for retail positions
