Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I - Retail to join Swedish Hospital in Chicago, IL. The role supports the Pharmacist in preparing, filling and dispensing medications and maintaining patient records.

You will also help manage medications and ensure accurate labeling and dosage preparation. Requirements include a current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license, Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), and a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Must have pharmacy tech knowledge and accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist with preparing, filling and dispensing medications.
• Maintain patient records, set up, package and label medication doses.
• Maintain inventory of drug supplies.

Hourly Pay Range

$18.50 - $28.68 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Pharmacy Technician I - Retail
• Retail Location: Swedish Hospital, Chicago IL
• Per Diem: (As needed)
• Hours: Rotating Shifts Monday-Saturday 8:45 am - 7 pm.
• Travel Required: Yes.
• Floats to other Endeavor Health outpatient pharmacy locations as needed.

What you will need

• License: Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician required
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required; must become certified by successfully passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination or another Board-approved pharmacy technician examination, within 2 years of initial licensure.
• Experience: Prior technician experience or hospital experience preferred.
• Retail experience preferred for retail positions.
• Skills: N/A
