Job summary

Walgreens is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to perform data entry and patient registration, following HIPAA guidelines and company procedures. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and respond to high-volume inquiries under supervision.

Responsibilities include processing new registrations, entering prescription data, handling refills, and resolving third-party rejects by coordinating with insurers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic PC skills including typing, form filling and online access.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• HIPAA awareness and data privacy practices.
• 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Using Walgreens data entry procedures, process new patient registration and enter data into systems.
• Handle patient prescription requests and refill orders; troubleshoot missing information.
• Correspond with patients via calls, chats, and emails; contact prescribers as needed.
• Resolve Third Party Rejects by gathering information and communicating with insurers.
