Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State board of pharmacy registration/licensure required.
• Certification as Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or ExCPT within 18 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist with preparation and distribution of medications.
• Accurately select, prepare, and label medications for patients, including hazardous drugs.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks and daily pharmacy operations.
• Screen calls and route using proper telephone etiquette and voicemail procedures.
• Assist in procurement, inventory control, and outdate checking.
• Perform nonsterile compounding per USP standards and sterile IV admixture when applicable.
• Maintain storage areas in accordance with policy and regulatory standards.
• Document medication admission histories and data entry into the pharmacy system.
• Support third-party billing and related workflow tasks.
