Job summary

BayCare's Mease Countryside Hospital in Clearwater, FL, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I for PRN, hourly coverage. Under Pharmacist oversight, you will support the pharmacy team in accurate preparation, labeling, and delivery of medications while maintaining customer service excellence.

Qualified candidates hold a FL Pharmacy Technician License, have a High School diploma or GED, and ideally 1 year of institutional pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Florida Pharmacy Technician License required.
• Preferred 1 year of institutional pharmacy experience.
• Registration with Florida DOH Pharmacy Technician Registry or employer-based training program.
• Pharmaceutical calculations exam may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department.
• Prepare, label and deliver pharmaceuticals accurately and timely to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain compliance with Florida registration and hospital training programs.
• Ideal candidate has 1 year institutional pharmacy experience, or equivalent.
• Pass Pharmaceutical Calculations exam if required.

• Facility: Mease Countryside Hospital
• Location: Clearwater, FL
• Status: PRN, hourly
• Shift Hours: 6:30AM–3:00PM, 7:00AM–3:30PM, 8:30AM–5:00PM
• On Call: No

Pharmacy Technician I , under the immediate oversight of the Pharmacist, responsibilities include:

• Support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department
• Efficient, accurate and timely preparation, compounding, labeling, and delivering of pharmaceuticals to assure customer satisfaction
• Required Registration: Florida Department of Health Pharmacy Technician Registry or enrolled into a BayCare hospital with a Florida Board of Pharmacy Licensed Training Program for the Employer Based Registered Pharmacy Technician Training Program
• Preferred experience is 1-year Institutional practice or equivalent as determined by the hiring manager.
• Required specific skills may also include successfully passing Pharmaceutical Calculations exam.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or Equivalent GED
• Required FL Registered Pharmacy Technician License

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience
