Job summary

BayCare in Clearwater is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to support the hospital and pharmacy department. You will assist with preparation, labeling and delivery of pharmaceuticals to ensure customer satisfaction, under the supervision of the Pharmacist. Location is Clearwater, FL with part-time hours and variable shifts.

Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and an FL Pharmacy Technician License. Preferred applicants have 1 year of institutional pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician License required.
• Preferred 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department.
• Efficient, accurate and timely preparation, compounding, labeling, and delivering of pharmaceuticals to assure customer satisfaction.
• Understand and comply with Florida Board of Pharmacy rules and BayCare policies.
• Adhere to required registration and employer-based training program requirements.
• Assist with duties as directed by the Pharmacist.

Pharmacy Technician I , under the immediate oversight of the Pharmacist, responsibilities include:

• Support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department
• Efficient, accurate and timely preparation, compounding, labeling, and delivering of pharmaceuticals to assure customer satisfaction
• Required Registration: Florida Department of Health Pharmacy Technician Registry or enrolled into a BayCare hospital with a Florida Board of Pharmacy Licensed Training Program for the Employer Based Registered Pharmacy Technician Training Program
• Preferred experience is 1-year Institutional practice or equivalent as determined by the hiring manager.
• Required specific skills may also include successfully passing Pharmaceutical Calculations exam.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or Equivalent GED
• Required FL Registered Pharmacy Technician License

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience
