Job summary

Equity Staffing Group is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join a busy Illinois pharmacy team, focusing on accurately preparing prescriptions for final pharmacist verification in a fast-paced production environment.

You will work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM with every other weekend, and you must hold an active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License and a High School diploma. Prior pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Active and clear Illinois Pharmacy Technician License required.
Ability to work accurately at a moderate pace.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Previous pharmacy technician experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Pick, label, scan, and prepare finished prescriptions for final pharmacist verification.
Fill daily medication orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision.
Pull medications from shelving and designated storage areas.
Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy.
Notify the pharmacist of medications or products that do not scan correctly.
Process returned medications and recycle or dispose of products according to procedures.
Prepack frequently ordered medications during lower-volume periods.
Manually package medications and other pharmacy products.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation and replenish necessary supplies.
Follow HIPAA and departmental safety, attendance, and dress-code policies.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
