Job summary

Equity Staffing Group is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join a busy Illinois pharmacy team, focusing on accurately preparing prescriptions for final pharmacist verification in a fast-paced production environment.

You will work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM with every other weekend, and you must hold an active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License and a High School diploma. Prior pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Active and clear Illinois Pharmacy Technician License required.
• Ability to work accurately at a moderate pace.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick, label, scan, and prepare finished prescriptions for final pharmacist verification.
• Fill daily medication orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision.
• Pull medications from shelving and designated storage areas.
• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy.
• Notify the pharmacist of medications or products that do not scan correctly.
• Process returned medications and recycle or dispose of products according to procedures.
• Prepack frequently ordered medications during lower-volume periods.
• Manually package medications and other pharmacy products.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and replenish necessary supplies.
• Follow HIPAA and departmental safety, attendance, and dress-code policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
