Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a diligent Pharmacy Technician in Illinois to support pharmacists, greet customers, receive prescriptions, and help operate the pharmacy smoothly and securely. You will verify orders, process prescriptions, manage inventory, and maintain HIPAA security.

Minimum one year of experience and active Illinois registration are required; bilingual candidates are preferred. Hours are Monday–Friday, with no weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year or more of pharmacy technician experience.
• Must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the State of Illinois.
• Bilingual candidate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist with serving patients and maintaining the pharmacy department.
• Receive prescriptions and check their validity; process electronically.
• Answer calls, take orders, and coordinate medication delivery.
• Maintain inventory, stock, label medication, and ensure accuracy.
• Ensure HIPAA/HITECH compliance and follow quality standards.
