Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital pharmacy team in Illinois. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will fill prescriptions, input patient data, verify orders, and help manage inventory to support safe patient care.

The role requires completion of IDFPR licensing within 60 days and at least 1 year of retail pharmacy experience; certification is preferred but not required for all candidates. This on-site position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician within 60 days of license application (IL IDFPR) or equivalent licensing path.
• 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician not required for student or exempt cases.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient information into the pharmacy system accurately (address, phone, allergies, DOB).
• Enter medication details (medication, strength, route, refills, physician).
• Prioritize stat and waiting prescriptions; ensure pharmacist reviews before dispensing.
• Maintain logs for transfers, mail-out, recalls; manage inventory and stock levels.
