Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Coordinator to support pharmacists in daily duties and contribute to the preparation and dispensing of medications under supervision. You will also provide customer service by answering calls and triaging inquiries.

Inventory control processes are applied to maintain stock and compliance. This temporary role runs Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, with no weekends and holiday closures observed.

Qualifications

• Licensed/certified or eligible Pharmacy Technician in Tennessee.
• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience or recent graduates welcomed.
• Assist pharmacists with preparation, dispensing and distribution of medications under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
• Apply departmental processes regarding inventory control.
• Perform activities as directed by Pharmacists and/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with laws and hospital policies.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Operate computer systems and utilize technology.
