Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Nashville, TN is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing and distribution of medications within a fast-paced retail environment. You will handle phone requests, triage inquiries, and contribute to inventory control while delivering excellent customer service.

Hours are extended across the day from early morning to late evening (7:00am–11:00pm) with preferred 8-hour shifts Mon–Fri, between 10:00am and 9:00pm.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician through the National Certification programs (PTCB or NHA).
• Previous fast paced pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Retail environment filling prescriptions, handling phone calls and assisting families of patients.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
• Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
• Performs activities as directed by Pharmacists and/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with laws and hospital policies.
• Delivers outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
