Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Tennessee is hiring a temporary Pharmacy Technician for the Retail Support Group Pharmacy. The role supports pharmacists with medication preparation, dispensing, inventory control and customer service; it is office-based, onsite, with hours 8:30am–5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

TN Pharmacy Technician license is required within 90 days of hire. Retail experience is preferred. Strong attention to detail, data entry, and communication with providers are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• LIC-Pharmacy Technician - Tennessee
• Relevant Work Experience
• Less than 1 year of experience
• Graduate of an approved discipline specific program

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
• Apply departmental processes regarding inventory control.
• Perform activities as directed by Pharmacists and/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with laws and hospital policies.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Operate computer systems and utilize technology.
