Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to perform data entry and patient registration under supervision, following SOPs and HIPAA guidelines.

You will resolve third-party rejects and use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, ensuring accuracy and privacy. The role requires strong communication and basic PC skills, with a goal to obtain an active license within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic PC skills (start/shutdown, mouse, print, save).
• Intermediate keyboarding: at least 25 WPM, touch typing.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum age 18 years.

Responsibilities

• Process new patient registration using Walgreens data entry procedures.
• Handle patient prescription requests and enter refill orders.
• Troubleshoot missing prescription information and interpret SIG codes.
• Resolve data-entry related exceptions.
• Handle patient correspondence via calls, chats, and emails; make outbound calls.
