Job summary

Ascension's Alexian PACE in Chattanooga, TN, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to provide distributive pharmacy services and support to pharmacists, refill and monitor automated dispensing systems, and prepare medication orders.

You will maintain inventory, store incoming supplies, and liaise with patients and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate, timely medication handling. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday on-site role at the PACE Pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician credentialed from PTCB preferred; must meet state/local qualifications.
• Pharmacy Technician credentialed from NHA preferred; must meet state/local qualifications.
• Active TN pharmacy technician license/registration is preferred.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support to pharmacists.
• Refill, maintain, and monitor automated dispensing systems.
• Prepare medication orders, maintain pharmacy inventory, and repackage bulk medications.
• Receive, organize, and properly store incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Serve as a liaison between the pharmacy, patients, and healthcare professionals, providing information and support as needed at Alexian PACE. Other duties and tasks may be assigned as needed.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred. Must possess all state and local qualifications.
• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcare Association preferred. Must possess all state and local qualifications.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT or PTCB.)
• Active pharmacy technician license/registration with the Tennessee State Board of Pharmacy is required.
• PACE or LTC experience preferred.
