Job summary

Ascension's Franklin Hospital in Wisconsin is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for the Inpatient Pharmacy. You will refill automated dispensing machinery, prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds, and support a busy clinical team with accurate medication processing.

This full-time role requires Wisconsin board licensure or registration, OSHA-like standards, and experience or education as described. You will triage calls, coordinate with patients and providers, and participate in professional

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board.
• Registration with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board required; provide proof of application.
• Maintain registration once granted.
• Preferred credentials: National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
• Credentialed by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).

Responsibilities

• Automated Systems & Inventory: Refill and maintain automated dispensing machinery; receive, store, and manage pharmacy department inventory and supplies.
• Medication Preparation & Compounding: Safely prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds, repackage bulk medications, and accurately process medication orders.
• Multidisciplinary Liaison: Triage incoming calls and act as a reliable point of contact between the pharmacy, patients, and healthcare providers to deliver timely information and assistance.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent + 2 years of experience

Associate's degree or technical degree

4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience

Your future role at a glance

• Location: Franklin, WI
• Facility: Franklin Hospital
• Department: I npatient Pharmacy
• Schedule: 40 hours |Full-time days | 10 hour shifts| primarily first shift (0530-1600 and 0600-1630) with occasional need to cover second when our usual second shift are on PTO.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s): Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Registration with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board required. Must provide proof of application to register with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board and once registration is granted, must be maintained.
• Preferred Credential(s): Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association.
• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
