PHARMACY/TECHNICIAN (Finance)

Minimum requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years old
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position

Desired qualifications:

  • Any previous comparable experience
  • Any equivalent experience of a pharmacy clerk
  • EPRN familiarity

Responsibilities include:

  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, safety regulations, and health code guidelines; identify unsafe conditions and notify management
  • Perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers
  • Manage inventory and ordering of medications, devices, supplements, and supplies via company systems
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations and customer areas
  • Count, measure, and prepare specified products using best practices
  • Complete billing procedures accurately
  • Answer phones, triage calls, and respond to inquiries
  • Adhere to guidelines on accepting vendor coupons, cash shortages, and shrink policies
  • Operate cash register following policies to prevent loss, including handling electronic transactions
  • Provide excellent customer service while completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing steps
  • Assist pharmacists with responsibilities excluding those requiring professional judgment
  • Follow HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding confidentiality
  • Support health and wellness initiatives
  • Manage legend orders and Central Fill deliveries
  • Work cooperatively in high-paced, sometimes stressful environments
  • Manage conflicts reasonably and cooperatively
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
  • Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
