As an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician, you will:

1. Move medications throughout the facility to enhance patient care.
2. Prepare medications through selecting, labeling, repacking, non-sterile and sterile compounding.
3. Deliver medications to appropriate storage locations accurately and timely.
4. Maintain accurate inventories of medications and supplies, and perform audits.
5. Maintain a safe, clean work area, complying with all regulations and documenting activities.
6. Use information systems, technology, and automation for tasks.
7. Assist with training pharmacy staff and students.

Minimum qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Six months of related experience or completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA upon hire
• Active registration with Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Certified, Registered, or Trainee Pharmacy Technician upon hire, with updates to certification within 6 months if necessary
• Understanding of algebraic calculations for compounding

Preferred qualifications:

• Six months of hospital experience

This position works day/evening rotation, 7:00am - 3:30pm and 3:00pm - 11:30pm.

Physical demands include standing, walking, reaching, stretching, sitting, manual dexterity, and use of PPE as required.
