Job summary

Ascension's Cedar Park Medical Center is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy professional to join a PRN, rotating-shifts team in Cedar Park, TX. This role supports essential patient care through accurate medication preparation and system-wide collaboration.

You will manage automated dispensing systems, assist with medication orders, oversee inventory, and help prepare and repackage bulk medications. Licensure or Intern status with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy is required; hospital experience and

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification/Registration required: Texas State Board of Pharmacy licensure or Pharmacy Intern.
• Education: high school equivalency with 2 years experience or an associate/technical degree or 4 years of applicable experience.
• Preferences: hospital experience and IV certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage automated dispensing systems and prepare medication orders for patient care.
• Support pharmacy operations by communicating between patients, health professionals, and pharmacy team.
• Oversee inventory and storage to maintain accurate stock levels and timely service.
• Prepare and repackage bulk medications to assist the pharmacist in delivering services.

Education

High School equivalency with 2 years experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job experience

Texas State Board of Pharmacy licensure or Pharmacy Intern status

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• One or more of the following required:
  • Licensed Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Pharmacy Intern obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
