Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to ensure medications and supplies are provided accurately and promptly in compliance with Joint Commission, state health standards, and other regulations.

Responsibilities include selecting medications, sterile compounding, and timely delivery while maintaining professional knowledge and communicating effectively with patients and staff. Licensing requirements are noted in qualifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or Indiana Pharmacy Intern License is required or within applicable transition period.
• National Certification is required within 2 years of hire unless you are a Pharmacy Intern.

Responsibilities

• Provide medications and supplies to customers accurately and in a timely manner in compliance with standard procedures and regulatory standards.
• Compound sterile products using aseptic technique.
• Deliver medications and supplies to the proper location in a timely fashion.
• Maintain contemporary professional knowledge base.
• Participate in evaluation, development, and implementation of process improvements; perform basic compounding and calculations.
• Communicate with patients, their families, and hospital staff in a positive and professional manner.
