Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a Sr Pharmacy Technician to perform dispensing duties and advanced technician work in line with regulatory standards. A data-driven focus includes accurate data entry for medication orders and inventory management, while handling inbound and outbound calls to support pharmacy operations.

Key responsibilities include accurate dispensing, sterile compounding, timely deliveries, ongoing knowledge updates, and participation in process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2–4 years previous pharmaceutical experience is required.
• 2–3 years of Retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Indiana Pharmacy Technician License is required.
• National Certification (PTCB or NHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently select medications for dispensing.
• Compound sterile products using aseptic techniques.
• Deliver medications, and supplies to the proper location in a timely fashion.
• Maintain contemporary professional knowledge base.
• Participate in the evaluation, development, and implementation of process improvement.
• Perform basic compounding and calculations.
• Communicate with patients, their families, and hospital staff in a positive and professional manner.
• Advanced tasks include problem solving of advanced complexity, technical specialist and trainer on daily tasks and cases.

The Sr Pharmacy Technician will perform the duties of a pharmacy technician, and advanced technician work, in compliance with standard procedures, Joint Commission, State Department of Health, and other regulatory standards. A key responsibility for this data driven role includes accurate and timely data entry for medication orders, patient profiles, and inventory management. In addition, you will be managing inbound and outbound calls to support pharmacy operations.
