Job summary

Community Health Network in Indiana is seeking a Sr Pharmacy Technician to perform pharmacy technician duties and advanced technical work in compliance with Joint Commission and state health standards.

You will accurately select medications, compound sterile products, deliver meds and supplies, maintain current knowledge, participate in process improvements, and support staff and patients with professional communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2 - 4 years previous pharmaceutical experience is required
• 2 -3 years of Retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Indiana Pharmacy Technician License required
• National Certification (PTCB or NHA) required
• Experience submitting prior authorizations preferred

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently select medications for dispensing.
• Compound sterile products using aseptic techniques.
• Deliver medications and supplies to the proper location in a timely fashion.
• Maintain contemporary professional knowledge base.
• Participate in the evaluation, development, and implementation of process improvement.
• Perform basic compounding and calculations.
• Communicate with patients, their families, and hospital staff in a positive and professional manner.
• Advanced tasks include problem solving of advanced complexity, technical specialist and trainer on daily tasks and cases.
