Job summary

Community Health Network in Indianapolis seeks a Sr Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing, data entry, and inventory management in a data-driven environment. You will ensure accurate medication orders and patient profiles while maintaining compliance with standards.

You will liaison with patients, families, and staff, perform sterile compounding, assist with process improvements, and tackle advanced tasks as a trusted trainer on daily operations.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of pharmaceutical experience required.
• 2–3 years of Retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Indiana Pharmacy Technician License required.
• National Certification (PTCB or NHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely data entry for medication orders and patient profiles.
• Inventory management and handling inbound/outbound calls to support pharmacy operations.
• Deliver medications and supplies to the proper location in a timely fashion.
• Maintain contemporary professional knowledge base.
• Participate in the evaluation, development, and implementation of process improvement.
• Perform basic compounding and calculations.
• Communicate with patients, their families, and hospital staff in a positive and professional manner.
• Advanced tasks include problem solving of advanced complexity, technical specialist and trainer on daily tasks and cases.

The Sr Pharmacy Technician will perform the duties of a pharmacy technician, and advanced technician work, in compliance with standard procedures, Joint Commission, State Department of Health, and other regulatory standards. A key responsibility for this data driven role includes accurate and timely data entry for medication orders, patient profiles, and inventory management. In addition, you will be managing inbound and outbound calls to support pharmacy operations.
