Job summary

Community Health Network seeks a Pharmacy Technician to ensure accurate dispensing and timely delivery of medications and supplies, while adhering to Joint Commission and state regulations. You will compound sterile products using aseptic technique and maintain a current knowledge base to support safe, efficient pharmaceutical operations.

You will communicate with patients, families, and hospital staff in a professional manner and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or Indiana Pharmacy Intern License required.
• Previous pharmaceutical or healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure medications and supplies are provided accurately and timely in compliance with procedures and regulatory standards.
• Select medications for dispensing and compound sterile products using aseptic technique.
• Deliver medications and supplies to the proper location in a timely fashion.
• Maintain up-to-date professional knowledge base and participate in process improvement.
• Perform basic compounding and calculations, communicate with patients, families, and hospital staff professionally.

The Pharmacy Technician will ensure that medications and supplies are provided to the customer in an accurate and timely manner in compliance with standard procedures, Joint Commission, State Department of Health, and other regulatory standards.

Your exceptional skills

Accurately and efficiently select medications for dispensing, compound sterile products using aseptic technique, deliver medications and supplies to the proper location in a timely fashion, maintain contemporary professional knowledge base, participate in the evaluation, development, and implementation of process improvement. Perform basic compounding and calculations, communicate with patients, their families, and hospital staff in a positive and professional manner.

Your exceptional qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or Indiana Pharmacy Intern License

Previous pharmaceutical or related healthcare experience preferred.

National Certification required within 2 years of hire unless you are a Pharmacy Intern
