Qualifications

• Licensure is not required during the application and interview process.
• Registration with the State Board of Pharmacy is required at the start of employment.
• Enrolled in educational program as required by the North Dakota State Board of Pharmacy for licensure, at the start of employment.
• Yearly renewal of license and continuing education as specified by the Board of Pharmacy.
• Retail and/or hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
• Computer use experience preferred.
• Good math skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with basic dispensing functions such as preparing medications, labeling products, and retrieving items from inventory.
• Support customer service by greeting patients, answering inquiries, and directing concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Enter patient, prescriber, and prescription information into pharmacy systems with close supervision to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in the pharmacy, restock shelves, monitor inventory levels, and assist with routine supply checks.
• Follow state and federal regulations, supervised workflows, and safety policies while learning competencies.
• Participate in training sessions, meetings, and educational activities to progress toward licensure and competency.
