The role trains under close supervision to ensure safe, accurate patient care, with progression toward Registered Pharmacy Technician status through the Kinney Certification Program. The trainee will assist in counter service, data entry, and pharmacy operations while adhering to state regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the State of Vermont as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Minimum: High School Diploma (or equivalent) or GED.
• Preferred: AS Degree or Higher.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the pharmacy counter and drive-thru with courteous service.
• Enter and maintain patient and prescription information in the system.
• Ensure billing accuracy with third-party payors and review claims.
• Support non-sterile compounding within state regulations.
• Safely count and label medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain inventory, monitor expiration dates, and rotate stock.
• Follow HIPAA requirements and company policies.
