Job summary

Universal Health Services in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

You will assist in preparing and distributing medications, maintain inventory and records, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Candidates must have Nevada license, PTCE or NHA certification and at least a high school diploma; one year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: One year of experience preferred.
• Technical: Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (e.g., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access).
• License/Certification: Nevada Pharmacy Technician license and PTCE or NHA certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate in accordance with standard procedures and state/federal regulations; do not perform duties that require a registered pharmacist.

Responsibilities

Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. They help pharmacists prepare and distribute medications, maintain drug inventory and records, and function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: One (1) year experience preferred.
• Technical Skills: Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (e.g., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access).
• License/Certification: Current license as Pharmacy Technician in State of Nevada, Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the National Healthcareer Association as a pharmacy technician.
• Other: Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
