Job summary

Spring Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, part of Universal Health Services (UHS), is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team under a licensed pharmacist. You will assist in preparing and distributing medications, manage the drug inventory, and maintain records in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements include a Nevada Pharmacy Technician license (or eligibility) and Certification by PTCB or NHA, with 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: One year experience preferred.
• Technical Skills: Automation experience with reporting features.

Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a license pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist

Qualifications

Education High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience One (1) year experience preferred.

Technical Skills Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.)

License/Certification Current license as Pharmacy Technician in State of Nevada, Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the National Healthcareer Association as a pharmacy technician
