Job summary

Spring Valley Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for per diem shifts in Henderson, NV. The role supports the pharmacy team by preparing and distributing medications and maintaining inventory under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Candidates should have a Nevada Pharmacy Technician license or board certification, with preferred 1 year of experience. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with flexibility for varied per diem schedules.

Job Description

Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a license pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Technical Skills

Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.)

License/Certification

Current license as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Nevada, Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the National Healthcareer Association as a pharmacy technician.
