Job summary

Centennial Hills Hospital in Las Vegas, NV is hiring Pharmacy Technicians to support pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, and ensuring records accuracy. Under supervision, you will follow state and federal regulations and contribute to safe, efficient care in a high-volume pharmacy.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma, Nevada Pharmacy Technician license or certification, and about 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: One (1) year experience preferred.
• License/Certification: Nevada Pharmacy Technician license/certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications.
• Maintain drug inventory and records.

Responsibilities

Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a license pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: One (1) year experience preferred.

Technical Skills

Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.).

License/Certification

Current license as Pharmacy Technician in State of Nevada, Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the National Healthcareer Association as a pharmacy technician.

Other

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
