Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support IV admixtures, unit-dose syringes, and chemotherapy preparation in the critical care and OR satellite areas.

You will work with pharmacy and technical staff to ensure compliance with procedures and regulations, maintain stock levels, and perform duties as a Pharmacy Technician as needed.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Current registration with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician upon hire.
• PTCB Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admixtures of medications to IV solutions.
• Preparation of unit dose syringes and chemotherapy medications.
• Compounding of solutions/medications for critical care and OR satellite areas.
• Maintain adequate stock levels in assigned areas.
• Follow standard procedures, guidelines and regulations.
• Assist with duties of a Pharmacy Technician as needed.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the admixtures of medications to IV solutions. Preparation of unit dose syringes, chemotherapy medications, and compounding of solutions/medications used in the critical care and OR satellite areas. Maintaining adequate stock levels in assigned areas. Functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. Works with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practice. Functions in duties of a Pharmacy Technician as needed.

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• Previous pharmacy technician experience with IV admixtures Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• PHRMTECH-R - Registered Pharmacy Technician Current registration with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required
