Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support IV admixtures, unit dose syringes, and chemotherapy preparation in critical care and OR satellite areas. You will maintain stock levels and work with pharmacy and technical staff to follow procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, state Pharmacy Technician registration (PHRMTECH-R) and preferred PTCB certification; prior IV admixture experience is a plus. On-site position in Stockbridge, GA.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience with IV admixtures preferred.
• Current registration with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician (PHRMTECH-R) upon hire.
• PTCB Certification preferred.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the admixtures of medications to IV solutions. Preparation of unit dose syringes, chemotherapy medications, and compounding of solutions/medications used in the critical care and OR satellite areas. Maintaining adequate stock levels in assigned areas. Functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. Works with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practice. Functions in duties of a Pharmacy Technician as needed.
