Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist with IV admixtures, unit-dose syringes, and chemotherapy medications. The role supports critical care and OR satellite areas and requires adherence to procedures and regulations.

You will maintain stock, collaborate with pharmacy and technical staff, and perform duties as needed. A high school diploma or GED is required, with IV admixture experience preferred; current state registration as a Pharmacy Technician is

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience with IV admixtures preferred.
• Current registration with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician; PHRMTECH-R preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the admixtures of medications to IV solutions.
• Preparation of unit dose syringes, chemotherapy medications, and compounding of solutions/medications used in the critical care and OR satellite areas.
• Maintaining adequate stock levels in assigned areas.
• Functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations.
• Works with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practice. Functions in duties of a Pharmacy Technician as needed.

Work Experience

Licenses and Certifications

• PHRMTECH-R - Registered Pharmacy Technician Current registration with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required
