Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Pharmacy Tech IV, PRN at Piedmont Columbus Northside. You will assist in IV admixtures, prepare unit-dose syringes, and compound medications used in critical care and OR satellite areas.

You will maintain stock levels, follow state and federal regulations, and collaborate with pharmacy and technical staff to implement best practices. Prior IV admixture experience is preferred; current pharmacy technician registration is required upon hire.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience with IV admixtures preferred.
• PHRMTECH-R - Current registration with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician upon hire required.
• PTCB Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admixtures of medications to IV solutions.
• Preparation of unit-dose syringes, chemotherapy medications, and compounded solutions.
• Maintaining adequate stock levels in assigned areas.
• Functions in accordance with standard procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations; collaborates with pharmacy and technical staff to define best practice.
• Functions in duties of a Pharmacy Technician as needed.
