Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support IV admixtures, unit-dose syringes, and chemotherapy preparation in critical care and OR satellite areas. You will work with pharmacy and technical staff to follow written procedures and state regulations, and perform duties as needed.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, and registration as a Pharmacy Technician (PHRMTECH-R) with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy; PTCB certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience with IV admixtures preferred.
• PHRMTECH-R registration required; state Board of Pharmacy registration upon hire.
• PTCB Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admixture of medications to IV solutions and preparation of unit dose syringes, chemotherapy medications, and compounding of solutions/medications used in critical care and OR satellite areas.
• Maintaining adequate stock levels in assigned areas.
• Functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations.
• Works with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practice.
• Functions in duties of a Pharmacy Technician as needed.
