Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Rio Rancho, NM. Under a pharmacist's supervision, you will fill medication orders, pre-pack, compound pharmaceuticals, refill stock, and deliver medications while performing clerical duties to support seamless pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician-PTCB and NHA certifications required.
  • At least two years of pharmacy experience.
  • Completion of PHS Sterile Products Competency and Hazardous Medication Training.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technician in assigned area.
  • Participate in quality process improvements and policy development.
  • Support leadership to drive employee and customer engagement.
  • Prepare sterile hazardous medications as required.
  • Adhere to Department Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Summary:

Presbyterian is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Pharmacy Tech to join our team. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for filling medication orders, pre-packaging, compounding pharmaceuticals, refilling stock supplies, delivering medication, and performing various clerical duties as required. This role is essential in supporting the pharmacy operations and ensuring excellent service to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Functions as Lead Technician in assigned area of work.
  • Actively participates in the Quality Process, including improvement initiatives. Actively participates in policy, procedure, and standard work development.
  • Supports leadership to drive Employee and Customer Engagement
  • Or primary responsibility is to prepare sterile hazardous (ie Oncology)
  • Or operates in lead administrative technician position within the department.
  • Responsible for adherence to the Department Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances.
  • Performs other functions as required.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician-PTCB
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician-NHA
  • At least two years experience in pharmacy
  • Completion of Crucial Conversations, Appreciative Coaching, and Influencer training for Lead Technicians and Lead Administrative Technician
  • Successful completion of PHS Sterile Products Compounding Competency and Hazardous Medication Training for all employees preparing sterile, hazardous medications.
