Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Rio Rancho, NM. Under a pharmacist's supervision, you will fill medication orders, pre-pack, compound, restock supplies, deliver medications, and perform clerical duties to support pharmacy operations and patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• PTCB and NHA certification as a Pharmacy Technician.
• At least two years of pharmacy experience.
• Training in sterile products, hazardous medications.
• Leadership training for Lead Technician roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead Technician in the assigned area and drive quality processes.
• Participate in policy development and standard work.
• Prepare sterile hazardous (Oncology) medications as primary responsibility.
• Adhere to Department Compliance Plan for controlled substances.
• Perform other required functions.

Summary:

Presbyterian is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Pharmacy Tech to join our team. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for filling medication orders, pre-packaging, compounding pharmaceuticals, refilling stock supplies, delivering medication, and performing various clerical duties as required. This role is essential in supporting the pharmacy operations and ensuring excellent service to our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Functions as Lead Technician in assigned area of work.
• Actively participates in the Quality Process, including improvement initiatives.
  • Actively participates in policy, procedure, and standard work development.
  • Supports leadership to drive Employee and Customer Engagement
• Or primary responsibility is to prepare sterile hazardous (ie Oncology)
• Or operates in lead administrative technician position within the department.
• Responsible for adherence to the Department Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances.
• Performs other functions as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Certified Pharmacy Technician-PTCB
• Certified Pharmacy Technician-NHA
• At least two years experience in pharmacy
• Completion of Crucial Conversations, Appreciative Coaching, and Influencer training for Lead Technicians and Lead Administrative Technician
• Successful completion of PHS Sterile Products Compounding Competency and Hazardous Medication Training for all employees preparing sterile, hazardous medications.
