Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs all non-sterile medication ordering, preparation, and dispensing activities, including filling medication orders for inpatient and outpatient areas.
• Uses pharmacy technology Pyxis, Pharmogistics, CII safe.
• Performs non-sterile compounding, labeling and repackaging; non-sterile unit dose packaging; cart, tray and kit preparation.
• Handles non-sterile hazardous medications and proper waste disposal.
• Maintains records for controlled and non-controlled substances; delivers supplies to patient units; answers calls and responds to questions.
• Checks stock regularly and reorders outdated stock; ensures compliance with manufacturer requirements.

Summary:

Presbyterian is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for filling medication orders, pre-packaging, compounding pharmaceuticals, refilling stock supplies, delivering medication, and performing various clerical duties as required.

• Responsible for adherence to the Department Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances.
• Performs other functions as required or assigned.
