Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Under a pharmacist's supervision, you will fill orders, pre-pack, and dispense medications, while handling stock and safety processes within our Albuquerque-area facility.

Responsibilities include non-sterile compounding, labeling, and unit-dose packaging, plus using Pyxis and Pharmogistics systems. Strong NM license and national certification are required to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Pharmacy Tech State of NM.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician-PTCB.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician- NHA.

Responsibilities

• Fills medication orders for inpatient and outpatient areas.
• Uses Pyxis, Pharmogistics, and CII safe for dispensing activities.
• Performs non-sterile compounding, labeling and repackaging.
• Prepares non-sterile unit dose packaging and cart/tray/kit items.
• Delivers supplies to patient units and ancillary areas.
• Maintains records for controlled substances and waste disposal.
• Ensures stock is current and compliant with manufacturer requirements.

Summary

Presbyterian is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for filling medication orders, pre-packaging, compounding pharmaceuticals, refilling stock supplies, delivering medication, and performing various clerical duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all non-sterile medication ordering, preparation, and dispensing activities, including, but not limited to: Filling medication orders for inpatient and outpatient areas of the facility
• Use of pharmacy technology Pyxis, Pharmogistics, CII safe
• Non-sterile compounding, labeling and repackaging.
• Non-sterile unit dose packaging
• Cart, tray, and kit preparation.
• Handling of non-sterile hazardous medications
• Proper waste or disposal
• Maintains required record-keeping for controlled and non-controlled substances.
• Delivers supplies to the patient unit and ancillary areas.
• Answers telephone and responds to questions and problems.
• Checks stock on a regular basis to identify and reorder outdated stock and ensures that stock is maintained in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
• Responsible for adherence to the Department Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances.
• Performs other functions as required or assigned.
