Job summary

Career Opportunities is seeking a Pharmacy Support Specialist Supervisor (PSS Supv) to lead the Pharmacy Support Specialist teams, mentor staff, and coordinate with Pharmacy Operations Manager to meet performance and quality metrics.

The role combines hands-on operations with people management, training material design, and handling escalations, attendance, and PTO to ensure seamless coverage across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of PBM operations experience with medical necessity workflows or prior authorization.
• At least 1 year in formal leadership, mentorship, or training roles.
• Strong independent decision-making under pressure.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Expert-level knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; PBM systems training ability.
• Pharmacy Technician licensure or active certification preferred.
• Growth mindset with adaptability and willingness to grow with product expansion.

Responsibilities

• Be the operational point of contact for daily PSS questions and escalations.
• Coach and mentor PSS team for growth and quality.
• Manage attendance, timecards, PTO, and coverage during peak hours.
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
• Lead training on PBM platforms and Google Workspace.
• Handle high-tier escalations with documentation and resolution.
• Oversee PA cases and appeals workflows with accuracy and speed.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy Operations Manager on performance metrics.
