Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking a Pharmacy Technician/Student for a PRN role, working under pharmacist supervision. You will assist with compounding, dispensing, charging and delivering medications to patients, with potential for patient counseling as you progress through your PharmD program.

The role supports care for pediatric to geriatric patients and requires enrollment in a Pharmacy degree program with licensure/intern pathways. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Pharmacy degree program.
• High School Grad or Equiv Required.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT-LIC) Required or Pharmacy Intern (PHARMINT) Required or Certified Pharmacy Tech (CPHT) Required.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, perform compounding, dispensing, charging and delivery of medications to patients.
• As the student progresses through the PharmD program, may have potential to do patient counseling in addition to technician duties.
