AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking a Pharmacy Technician/Student for relief PRN Nights. You will work under a pharmacist to compound, dispense, charge, and deliver medications, with potential patient counseling as you progress in the PharmD program.

The role supports pediatric to geriatric patients in a faith-based, Magnet-recognized environment; benefits include vision, medical and dental from day one, and student loan repayment options.

Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled in a Pharmacy degree program.
• High School Grad or Equiv.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT-LIC) Required.

The role you’ll contribute:

Responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures utilizing radionuclides for diagnosing and treating diseases in humans. This position delivers quality care to patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric and ensures service levels are maintained.

Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician/Student performs all accountabilities associated with the compounding, dispensing, charging, and delivery of medications to the patients. As the student progresses through their PharmD program, they may have the potential to do patient counseling in addition to their technician responsibilities.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

Performs functions requested by pharmacists or pharmacy leadership in a timely manner. Maintains a high level of accuracy and accountability in all controlled substance transactions. Answers the phone promptly and courteously, using experience and prioritization skills to forward calls appropriately. Restocks boxes, kits, trays, and code cart trays.
