Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician. Under a pharmacist's supervision, you will fill medication orders, pre-pack and compound pharmaceuticals, refill stock, and deliver medications while performing clerical tasks to support operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician-PTCB or NHA certification required.
• Short-term training in pharmacy law, practice standards, terminology, pharmacy math, drug preparation, dosage forms and brand/generic names.
• At least one year of pharmacy experience or completion of an accredited technician training program.

Responsibilities

• Meets and demonstrates competency in Pharmacy Technician I and II requirements.
• Completes required training and maintains competency in sterile and non-sterile preparation; pediatric sterile prep.
• Manages controlled substance inventory, distribution, and disposal.
• Ensures compliance with the department's Controlled Substances Compliance Plan and performs other duties as assigned.
