Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Pharmacy Certified Technician to support pharmacy operations, training, and MTM services, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and adherence to safety standards. The role involves assisting pharmacists, leading shift coverage, and upholding loss-prevention guidelines.

Qualified candidates will have pharmacy intern registration, CPR certification, and at least 18 years old, with a background in retail and immunization certification helpful for state requirements.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail experience.
• Completion of national and/or state intern registration, certification or licensure depending upon state requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school program; certified or ability to be certified in immunizations.
• Maintain a current CPR certification.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations/guidelines/procedures according to health code regulations; identify unsafe conditions and notify management.
• Act as pharmacy safety subject matter expert by identifying opportunities and coaching to correctness.
• Support workflow and pharmacist oversight through shift leadership and delegation.
• Ensure execution of department standards by leading by example.
• Assist pharmacist in responsibilities excluding those requiring professional judgement.
• Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company HIPAA policies.
• Manage cash handling guidelines and prevent loss.
• Enter patient information accurately and perform post fill audits and MTM support.
