Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to assist the pharmacist in providing high-quality patient care in a busy pharmacy environment. You will counsel customers, manage prescription data, and support immunization efforts, under pharmacist supervision.

This role requires active enrollment in a US pharmacy school and possession of a current Pharmacy Intern license, with a strong commitment to accuracy, safety, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical products and ability to discuss with customers and prescribers.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions.
• Provide drug counseling to customers.
• Assist with over the counter medications recommendations.
• Input patient and prescription information accurately into the pharmacy system.
• Dispense the correct medication and contact prescribers’ offices for authorization.
• Process third party insurance information for customers and communicate with insurers as needed.
• Facilitate charges and verify prescriptions for fill/refill.
• Provide immunizations under the supervision of the pharmacist.
