Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Pharmacy Certified Technician to support pharmacy operations at our Kokomo location. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, assisting pharmacists, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA and safety standards.

The position involves training new technicians, managing workflow, and ensuring accurate data entry and MTM support. Candidates should have retail experience, internship registrations, and be eligible for immunization certification where required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail experience.
• Completion of national and/or state intern registration, certification or licensure depending upon state requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school program; certified or ability to be certified in immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Must perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations according to health code requirements; identify unsafe conditions.
• Act as pharmacy safety subject matter expert and coach for correctness.
• Support workflow and pharmacist oversight through shift leadership.
• Ensure department standards by leading by example.
• Assist pharmacist in responsibilities that do not require professional judgement.
• Be willing and able to perform all essential job functions of a Pharmacy Certified Technician.
• Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies on HIPAA.
