Job summary

Kroger in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists, assist with MTM services, and ensure accurate patient data entry and compliance with HIPAA. You will play a key role in maintaining safety standards and training new technicians within a fast-paced retail pharmacy.

In this role you will participate in shift leadership, uphold department standards, and help deliver outstanding patient care.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail experience
• Completion of national and/or state intern registration, certification or licensure depending upon state requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school program; certified or ability to be certified in immunizations

Responsibilities

• Perform essential functions of the position with/without accommodation
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations; identify unsafe conditions
• Serve as pharmacy safety SME; coach for correctness
• Support workflow and pharmacist oversight through shift leadership
• Lead by example to ensure department standards
• Assist pharmacist in responsibilities not requiring professional judgement
• Be willing and able to perform all essential technician duties
• Understand HIPAA regulations and company policies
• Support Health and Wellness initiatives
• Maintain current state/national registration or license where required
• Provide day-to-day training support for pharmacy associates
• Serve as alternative representative for store meetings/huddles
• Comply with regulations; report illegal activity such as theft or fraud
• Handle electronic transactions (Credit/Debit, EBT, Gift Cards) and cash/cheques
• Enter patient information accurately; perform post fill audits and assist MTM services
• Provide and maintain MTM services
